A TRUE FRIEND OF GOD

Welcome and  continue to learn the word of God in this lesson  concerning the true friend of God. Let every one who are born again  christian be aware that he is a true friend of God if he concentrates and follow  the instructions of God's word say as follows;
1. To love God and remain in keeping his commandments. "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me; and that  loveth me shall .be loved by my Father; and I will love and manifest myself to him. " (John 14:21). "... If a man love me, he will love him,  and make our abode  with him.  He that loveth  me not keepeth not my saying : and the word ….." (John 14: 23,24).

From the above scriptures, one must have a true love in God and abide in his commandments. If a man does not keep the commandments of God according to his word, he should not say that he love God and even shall not  be a true friend of God. For that reason the God doesn't abide in him.

2. Abide in the love of God and adhere to live according to his word. "If ye shall abide in my love: even as I have  kept my keep my  Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have spoken unto you, that my joy might be  full. " (John 15: 10-11).

The above verses, clearly indicate that someone who stayed (they continue) in the love of God, he  will be happy as Jesus  has.

3. Be perfect in love. This thing is very  important. One who  has a   perfect love is a man who loves God and others. "... If we love  one another, God dwelleth in us,  and his love is perfected in us." (1John 4:12). One can not say that he loved God if he hates his brother. "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar; For he that loveth not his brother whom seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen. And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also ". (1John 4: 20-21).

4. One must believe in God and live by faith. We can learn from Ibrahim, who was a friend of God because he was believed to do all the things that God commanded. " Seest thou how  faith wrought  with his works was faith was fulfilled which  saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto  him for righteousness; he was called the Friend of God. " (James 2: 22,23).

Therefore you can see and understand that believing and acting are two different things. First Abraham believed God and acted according to God’s commandments. Faith in this manner, is a complete faith. It is impossible to believe in one God alone would do he has commanded. This man can not be a true friend of God. That is why it is written; "Ye see then how  that by works  a man  justified, not by faith alone ". (James 2:24).

5. Living by faith and trust God in all things and understand that God is our supporter. Living with such faith means we are  pleasing God.
Although one will have any trouble or complicate matters, one must trust in God because he  supported us in our lives. It is important to trust in God and reliance on him because there are other things for us humans which impossible, but with God all things are possible. Here we can see that who trusts in God is blessed and who does not trust him are accursed. "Cursed is the man who trusts in man, causes the flesh his arm, and whose heart has turned away from God ... Blessed is the man than trusteth in Lord, and those hope the Lord is". (Jeremiah 17: 5,7). "Now they just shall live by faith; but if any man draw back :  my soul shall have no pleasure in him. " (Hebrews 10:38).

FRUIT OF PEACE

This is the fruit of the Spirit, which in the scriptures is established that  He is God of peace and true peace comes from Him. "Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means".  2Thessalonians 3:16. ". ... And peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord". 1Timothy 1: 2. Continue to be in peace. To  remain in peace you should consider the following: 1. To love and obey the word of God. "Great peace have they who love your law, do not have to stumble". Psalm 119: 165. To love and  live in harmony with people and holiness. "Repay no one evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. FAITH

The source of faith. "So then faith cometh by hearing; and hearing by the word of God". Romans 10:17. Faith comes by the word of Christ or the word of God, if anyone hears the word, believe and understand it  he has faith in the word of God. It is very crucial  and key word to believe in the word of God , that is why God has said, "But the person who is right with me shall live by faith; but my soul has no pleasure with the one who turns back in fear". Hebrews 10:38. Believing the word of God. The unbeliever of the  word God is not desirable, he rebelled against God and  will not enter into heaven.
