PETITION - This is from Greek word ‘deesis’ means to pray earnestly strongly until response has been found. Petition means to present strong statement before the presence of God and continue to interrogate with God until you get your answers. We can see this in the scriptures how Jesus Christ teaches us to pray earnestly without give up until you are given your right quickly. The word ‘given your right quickly’ means you continue praying or asking until you receive what you have prayed or asking. You can read more in texts relating to petition in Luke 11: 5-10; 18: 1-8; James 5: 17-18; Colossians 1: 9.
He himself our Lord Jesus Christ when he approaching his death He made prayers and petition with strong crying and tears which was heard. In that He feared God and learned to obey. Immediately, God's angel came to strengthen Him; Hebrews 5: 7-8; Luke 22: 39-44. We also we need to fear God and learn through His word and obeying according to how God’s word says so He can hears us when we pray and give us our desires, 1 John 3:22; John 9:31; Proverbs 15:29.
PRAYER - Means to submit your personal needs before God. Requirements should include the necessities such as food, clothing, shelter and other similar things, that is why Jesus gives a vivid example when He says we give our children good gifts and also ask. Is it not so much our Father who is in heaven who give good things to those who ask Him?. The good gifts or good things are those requirements we ask from God. Matthew 7: 7-11.
SUPPLICATIONS - Represent the needs of others or pray for others instead of praying personal prayer for yourself. 1Thessalonians 1: 2; 2; 11-12 and Colossians 1: 9.
THANKS - This is the Hebrew word ‘Yadah’ means say the words of gratitude, Psalm 107: 21-22; Hebrews 13:15. Gratitude is the most important thing before God. We must be grateful for every good thing. Those ten lepers cleansed by Jesus but did not return to thank, only one had a grateful heart. 1Thessalonians 5:18; Luke 17: 17-19.
WORSHIP - Comes from the Hebrew word ‘Shachah’. This word means bowing, prostration, or lying prostrate before God or under the feet of the King. Luke 4: 8; 2 Samuel 24:20.
ANOINTING - Means to put, pouring oil, separated or consecrated for a specific work of God, like the priesthood, kingship and prophet. Luke 4:18; 1 Samuel 10: 1; 16:13; Exodus 30:30; 1 Kings 19: 15-16
